Inert and demolitions
Earth, stones, clay, demolition materials, reinforced concrete railway sleepers and more fall into the varied category of waste from construction and demolition.
The debris from demolition undergoes a selection treatment and volume reduction aimed at landfill rather than for reuse for filling and road foundations.
Earth and other inert materials also undergo separation treatments (plastics, metals, wood, etc…) for the best development and reuse of materials contained therein, such as sand or gravel; according to the different particle sizes required.
Having reached the end of their lives, railway sleepers must be handled and volumetrically reduced whilst ensuring the separation of the large amounts of iron contained therein. The metal is then recycled and returned to the raw material market and the crushed concrete typically performs the function of road foundations
